Professor Graeme Jackson is a clinician researcher with primary interests in MR imaging technologies applied to the human brain and the neurobiology of epilepsy. He is a Neurologist at the Austin Hospital, Melbourne, Deputy Director of The Florey Institute of Neuroscience & Mental Health and co-leader of the Epilepsy research theme.
The Austin campus of the Florey has two fully research dedicated 3T MR systems and physics support largely dedicated to neurobiological problems in epilepsy and Stroke. Ten of his 250 plus papers have been cited more than 200 times, and deal with diagnosing and understanding hippocampal sclerosis, the functional neurobiology of epileptiform events and malformations of cortical development. Career citations exceed 15000.
