
Ryan Keenan is a PhD candidate from The University of Melbourne and a member of the Sleep and Cognition laboratory at the Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health.
Ryan recently submitted his PhD thesis titled: “Sleep/wake disruptions in a neurodegenerative tauopathy mouse model: Role of tau and therapeutic potential of orexin receptor antagonists”.
Ryan has presented research from his PhD in both poster and oral presentation formats at the Society for Neuroscience (SfN) international conference in San Diego (2018) and Chicago (2019).
Ryan holds a Bachelor of Science (Degree with Honours) from The University of Melbourne. His Honours research project investigated rodent models of depression/anxiety. The data generated from this project resulted in a first author scientific publication in a peer-reviewed journal for Ryan.
