The Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health employs more than 400 people who are passionately committed to researching the way the brain works. We are internationally renowned for our discoveries and research on the central nervous system and associated brain disorders. Key areas of interest include addiction, Alzheimer’s disease, cardiovascular disease, depression, epilepsy, Huntington’s disease, motor neuron disease, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, schizophrenia, stroke and traumatic and spinal cord injury.
An excellent opportunity is available for a highly-motivated individual to join an outstanding team of scientists and work within the Stroke Division at our Heidelberg facility. The role will primarily be responsible for providing administrative support to the Division Head, Stroke and other research teams in the division as required. The duties include, but not limited to, managing the Division Head’s diary, emails, travel arrangements and other tasks, as well as coordinating meetings and teleconferences.
Ideally, the successful candidate will have a degree and at least 2 years’ experience in administration. Excellent knowledge in MS office suite is essential as well as a high level of written and oral communication skills. Knowledge in Endnote is preferred as well as previous experience in health science. More information is available from the Position Description attached.
An indicative salary in the range of $61,993 to $67,103 (pro-rata) commensurate on experience plus 9.5% superannuation and generous salary packaging options.
