The Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health employs more than 400 people who are passionately committed to researching the way the brain works. We are internationally renowned for our discoveries and research on the central nervous system and associated brain disorders. Key areas of interest include addiction, Alzheimer’s disease, cardiovascular disease, depression, epilepsy, Huntington’s disease, motor neuron disease, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, schizophrenia, stroke and traumatic and spinal cord injury.
An excellent opportunity is available for a highly motivated individual to join an outstanding team of scientists at the Florey Institute and work within the Fundraising and Marketing Team at our Parkville facility. The role will primarily be responsible for strategically planning and overseeing the major gifts activities of the Institute and establishing a donor strategy and relationship management.
The successful candidate will demonstrate experience in fundraising with a minimum of 5 years’ experience with a proven record of successfully training significant levels of philanthropic support preferably in the higher education or medical research sectors as well as showing evidence of carrying a personal major and principal gift portfolio.
