The Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health has more than 600 staff and students who are passionately committed to researching the way the brain works. We are internationally renowned for our discoveries and research on the central nervous system and associated brain disorders. Key areas of interest include addiction, Alzheimer’s disease, cardiovascular disease, depression, epilepsy, Huntington’s disease, motor neuron disease, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, schizophrenia, stroke and traumatic and spinal cord injury.
An excellent opportunity is available for a highly motivated individual to join an outstanding team of scientists and staff, and work within the Fundraising and Marketing Team at our Parkville facility. The role will primarily be responsible for building on an existing program in bequest development; maintaining a contact strategy of existing bequestors (stewardship); drive the development of the Florey Alumni; and maintaining accurate records on the database.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the fundraising sector with a knowledge of bequest fundraising, as well as excellent interpersonal skills. The ability to manage time and set priorities is an important aspect of this role. Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge or similar database is required. An annual salary of $81,016 plus 14%/17% superannuation and generous salary packaging options is offered for this exciting position.
