- Neurodegeneration Laboratory led by Prof Malcolm Horne
- Molecular Neuropharmacology Laboratory led by Prof Philip Beart

Australian Statistics
- 1 in 15,000 Australians has MND.
- About 400 Australians are diagnosed with a MND each year.
- In 2004, MND was the cause of death for 507 Australians.
Peptide
Led by Assocoate Professor John D Wade, the Peptide Laboratory focuses on the structure and function relationship of members of the insulin superfamily, particularly relaxins-2 and 3 and insulin-like peptide 3 (INSL3).
