Each year we accept students from biomedical science and science programs to undertake one-year, full time Honours projects in neuroscience related research. Students undertake all of their scientific research work on site at the Florey, while undertaking their course work at the university department through which they are enrolled.
When searching the University HATS system please be sure to search for Florey projects using the title and/or supervisor of the project as many of our projects are listed as belonging to the University directly with the location being Florey.
Most of our Honours students are enrolled at The University of Melbourne through departments of the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences, such as: Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, Pathology, Microbiology & Immunology, Chemistry, Anatomy & Cell Biology and Pharmacology.
Students who have completed their undergraduate degree at another university in Australia or overseas are also encouraged to contact us directly for further information on how to apply.
Our honours students come to us with a range of majors and backgrounds including biochemistry, chemistry, biomedical science, immunology, cell biology, medicine, pharmacology, molecular biology, pathology, physiology, anatomy and other similar subjects.
