Supervisor
PhD Project Title
- The interaction between brain glutamate transporters and cytoskeletal protein
Research Interests
The mechanisms that contribute to the short and long-term regulation of EAAT activity and cell surface expression are regulated by a number of factors, such as various receptors, phosphorylation, interactions with lipid rafts, structural proteins and kinases and trafficking to and from intracellular pools.
I am interested in the mechanisms that regulate glutamate transporter expression and trafficking in the brain, particularly in astrocytes.
