The Statistics and Informatics platform provides expertise in the data, quantitative, and statistical aspects of research carried out across the divisions at FNI.
The platform carries out its our own research in a number of areas of modelling methodology. This way the platform provides tailored and rigorous quantitative methods to support decision making in the disciplines making up our institutional environment.
Since advanced statistical methodology is of little use for real applications without the availability of appropriate computational and modelling tools, adapting, extending and validating complex statistical and decision modelling software is another basic task in this division.
The team serves as a hub for collaboration within Florey Neuroscience Institutes and with other Australian and international research institutions in the areas of statistical, data, and decision modelling.
