The Basic Science laboratory at the Florey examines the modality of stroke, how it occurs and it seeks better methods of novel drug treatment. The group investigates changes in the plasticity in the brain after stroke. Furthermore, the Basic Science team widely investigates stroke literature and mines data which it re-examines with new techniques to determine more pertinent outcomes.
