Welcome to INF website

Welcome to the Integrative Neuroscience Facility (INF). The INF has been created to allow researchers working with genetically and pharmacologically altered animal models access to a state-of-the-art phenotyping capability.

The INF provides behavioural, anatomical, physiological and pharmacological assessments of animal models for neurobiological and psychological research and pre-clinical drug testing for industry.

The Integrative Neurosciences Facility (INF) has its headquarters at the Howard Florey Institute, which focuses its research on deciphering how the brain develops and functions. The Mental Health Research Institute brings to the INF behavioural neuroscience expertise in schizophrenia research.

The INF is one of eight platforms of the National Neuroscience Facility funded under the Australian Government’s Major National Research Facility program, and further supported by the Victorian State Government’s Science Technology and Innovation program. Fees paid by users support the operating costs of the Facility.
