Administrative Officer - Public Health Research in Stroke
Florey Neuroscience Institutes (FNI) is an amalgamation of the Brain Research Institute, National Stroke Research Institute and Howard Florey Institute and has expanded with the development of a state of the art facility in partnership with the Mental Health Research Institute and University of Melbourne.
A highly motivated and organised person is sought for a fulltime Administrative Officer position at the National Stroke Research Institute, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Florey Neuroscience Institutes
1 year appointment, immediate commencement available
To be successful in this role you will require a tertiary qualification in administration or subsequent work experience in an administrative officer role in the health or research sector. You will also possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills together with sound organisational and time management skills.
Previous experience working in health science and knowledge of medical terminology would be an advantage.
Selection Criteria
-Sound skills in communication and typing
-Well developed organising skills, the capacity to successfully complete several tasks concurrently and achieve deadlines
-Excellent computer skills including use of databases, use of search engines (including those of libraries) and -Microsoft office packagesBe able to facilitate good communication flow between internal and external stakeholders, while also providing support the research team.
Salary level: Higher Education Worker Level 4 - $49,453 (neg depending on experience)
